SARASOTA, Fla. – The Sarasota Police Department arrested a teenage boy suspected in the shooting death of another teen.
Anariest J. Taylor, 17, of Sarasota is charged with murder using a firearm arm. Authorities identified Amos Crawford, 19, as the man killed in the shooting around 3:45 p.m. Sunday on Lemon Avenue near 25th Street.
Witnesses told police they heard gunshots and saw two men inside a car shooting at a man running from it. All three left the scene after the shooting.
An investigation led police to identify Taylor as a suspect in the shooting. Police believe drugs played a factor.
