TAMPA, Fla. — Officers with the Tampa Police Department are investigating a shooting that left one man injured early Wednesday morning.
The shooting happened around 4:25 a.m. in the area of 9th Street and Bird Street, officers said in a news release. Police responded to reports of shots heard in the area and arrived to find the man with upper-body injuries.
That man was taken to a nearby hospital and his condition is unknown at this time. Officers are still investigating what led up to the shooting. No information was provided regarding potential suspects.
