TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa police say they are searching for the person or people responsible for shooting a man overnight Monday.
Officers said their investigation began around 1:45 a.m. on N Aster Avenue near E Lingbaugh Avenue after they got word about shots fired in the area. When they got there, officers said they found a man suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
He was taken to the hospital for treatment; police did not offer further details regarding the man's injuries or condition.
According to police, the shooting happened because of a "disturbance" between the man and people he reportedly knew.
