Tampa police share new photos of suspect's truck in Little Caesars robbery

New evidence shows the suspect, who still hasn't been identified, driving what looks like a mid-2000s Nissan Frontier pickup truck, police said.

TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Police Department is sharing new evidence as officers continue to look for the man who attempted to rob a Little Caesars Pizza at gunpoint earlier this August on North Armenia Avenue.

That new evidence shows the suspect driving what appears to be a mid-2000s Nissan Frontier pickup truck with a black hood and after-market black rims, officers said in a news release.

Surveillance video shows the unidentified man entering the restaurant around 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 4 before threatening two employees with a handgun. The employees were able to run to the back of the store, and no injuries were reported, police said in a previous release.

The man reportedly attempted to access the restaurant's safe but was unsuccessful. He left without money after being in the store for around 25 seconds, police said.

The department described the suspect as a 5'8 white or Hispanic man who weighs around 220 pounds. Police described him as having a "noticeable pot belly." His face was covered with a multicolored mask, and he wore a dark sweatshirt, jeans, and white sneakers.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery can call TPD at 813-231-6130 or Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay.
