Two people pulled up to a Tampa gas station with gunshot wounds. Now police are trying to figure out where the shooting happened.

Both victims are expected to be OK. Police said the shooting may have happened outside Tampa's city limits. Here's what we know right now.

TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa police said they responded to a call reporting two shooting victims Wednesday morning at a gas station and found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds to their upper arms.

A large police presence was seen gathering at the Rebel convenience store on the corner of East Adamo Drive and 50th Street around 6:30 a.m. Video from Sky 10 showed at least 10 law enforcement and emergency response vehicles in the parking lot.

Crime scene tape was placed around a white Toyota sedan parked on the side of the convenience store. A 10 Tampa Bay photojournalist at the scene captured what appears to be a bullet hole in the back windshield and rear window on the driver's side.

Tampa police said the two victims were already shot when they pulled into the parking lot.

"While early in the investigation, preliminary information suggests that the shooting did not take place in the City of Tampa," officials said in a statement. "Detectives are trying to work with the occupants of the car to determine where this happened and what led to the shooting."

Both victims are expected to be OK, according to the police.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
