Police ask for help locating man following December shooting in St. Petersburg

Jacarius Courouthers, 26, is wanted for attempted felony murder, police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Police are asking the public for help to locate a man wanted in a December shooting in St. Petersburg that injured a woman sitting on her living room couch.

Jacarius Courouthers, 26, is wanted for attempted felony murder, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.

Police say he and 18-year-old Daemond Murray fired several shots toward a group of people walking just after 6 p.m. Dec. 23 in the area of 17th Avenue South and Preston Street.

Following an exchange of gunfire, a woman on her living room couch was hit. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Murray was arrested on Jan. 12 and charged with attempted felony murder and felon in possession of a firearm while Courouthers remains on the run.
