ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A man is in critical condition after a shooting early Thursday morning.
Keiondre Church, 23, went up to a man and woman sitting in a car in an alley shortly before 1 a.m. near the area of 13th Street South and 24th Avenue South and fired at the man, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.
Church used to date the woman in the car, police said.
They exchanged gunfire, and the couple suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Church was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition, according to police. He is being charged with first-degree attempted murder, aggravated assault with a firearm and delinquent in possession of a firearm, according to the Pinellas County Jail.
