ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — St. Petersburg police detectives are asking for help identifying a man they say tried to shoot someone last month.
Shots were fired on Aug. 31 in the Jordan Park area of St. Pete. Officers arrived to find an apartment and a vehicle had been hit by bullets.
No one was injured, but detectives say a person in the area was the shooter's intended target.
A man in a black shirt and black jeans with a mask was seen on surveillance video holding a firearm shortly before the shots were fired, according to the police department. Detectives say another video shows a man in the same clothing firing a weapon toward the intended victim.
Anyone with information on who the man may be is asked to contact Detective Anthony McGann at (727)
