Do you recognize him? Police say he shot at someone in St. Pete

St. Petersburg police are working to identify this man who is accused of firing shots at someone on Aug. 31, 2024, in Jordan Park.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — St. Petersburg police detectives are asking for help identifying a man they say tried to shoot someone last month.

Shots were fired on Aug. 31 in the Jordan Park area of St. Pete. Officers arrived to find an apartment and a vehicle had been hit by bullets.

No one was injured, but detectives say a person in the area was the shooter's intended target.

A man in a black shirt and black jeans with a mask was seen on surveillance video holding a firearm shortly before the shots were fired, according to the police department. Detectives say another video shows a man in the same clothing firing a weapon toward the intended victim.
