ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — One person is dead after a hit-and-run pedestrian crash that involved a stolen vehicle, St. Pete police say.
Officials say this happened just after 8 p.m. in the area of 9th Avenue South when a Jeep hit a man in the area.
The driver of the Jeep abandoned the vehicle a short distance away from the crash and ran from the scene, St. Pete PD says.
Upon further investigation, police determined that the Jeep was stolen.
