A UPS package handler has been arrested and is accused of stealing expensive items while working at the Muskegon distribution hub.
Thursday, Dec. 15, Muskegon police arrested 24-year-old Arrington Lecompte. He's in the Muskegon County jail awaiting a felony charge.
The arrest follows an internal investigation by UPS.
Lecompte recently began working for UPS, his position was seasonal for the holiday.
Earlier this week, WZZM 13 Watchdog Reporter Sarah Sell did a story on a couple whose diamond ring from Zales went missing from a UPS Package.
Police believe that couple's ring, as well as other items, were stolen by Lecompte.
Some of the items that allegedly went missing from packages that passed through the Muskegon UPS hub include a diamond ring, cell phones and other small electronics.
