SARASOTA, Fla. — Sarasota County Sheriff's Office detectives have arrested two men connected to the shooting death of a 47-year-old in July, deputies said in a news release.
Damontae Tillery, 24, and Karriem McDowell Jr., 23, are charged with the murder of Edward Dukes Jr., according to the sheriff's office. Dukes was reportedly found dead with multiple gunshot wounds on July 25 at a home on Regatta Drive.
Deputies said they were able to identify the suspects through various investigative methods. Both were arrested late Friday, Aug. 2 in Sarasota and remain in custody at the Sarasota County Correctional Facility, according to the sheriff's office.
