OCALA, Fla. — A Virginia truck driver was arrested by Marion County deputies after he pulled out a gun during a road rage incident on Interstate 75 and shot at another driver twice, the sheriff's office said.

The agency posted a video they said came from the dashboard camera inside 43-year-old Dylan Nissan Belleastin's truck on Wednesday, March 6. The footage shows the driver pulling out a gun as another truck goes to pass him on his left side.

When the two trucks were parallel to each other, the driver fired the gun. The other truck continued to pass before slowing down. As the driver seen in the video catches up to the truck next to him, he shoots toward the other driver again.

Editor's Note: The video below was shared by the Marion County Sheriff's Office on Facebook. It shows a truck driver shooting at another driver twice and may be disturbing to some viewers.

Deputies responded to a Love's Travel Stop location in Ocala after a call came in reporting shots fired during a road rage situation, and met with the victim. He told them he was driving a semi-truck along I-4 when another truck driver threw a water bottle at his truck.

The victim told deputies he initially pulled over to confront the other truck driver but ultimately chose not to and continued driving, according to the sheriff's office. Officials said the dashcam video captured what happened next.

"Belleastin then continued to follow the victim and eventually pulled alongside him again, at which time he fired several shots toward the victim," the Marion County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook.

The sheriff's office said Belleastin had a second handgun he pointed at the victim, who fired shots back at Belleastin in self-defense. Belleastin stopped at the Love's Travel Stop but took office after a short time, continuing to drive on I-75. Marion County deputies, along with United States Marshal Service Agents, located Belleastin about seven miles south of the truck stop and arrested him.

Belleastin was booked into the Marion County Jail on March 6 and was denied bond.
