TAMPA, Fla. — Police are investigating a deadly crash that shut down South West Shore Boulevard and West El Prado Boulevard early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to the scene at 1:45 a.m. and found a man who had died, according to a news release from the Tampa Police Department. The agency said lifesaving measures were performed, but the victim ultimately was pronounced dead at the scene.
The roads reopened late Sunday night, and the cause of the crash is under investigation, police said.
No information was provided regarding whether the incident involved multiple vehicles or a pedestrian, or if anyone else was involved in the crash.
