Fort Myers police are searching for the man who allegedly stole a puppy Thursday morning, Sept. 5. from the Pet Kingdom.

FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Fort Myers Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a man who allegedly stole a puppy from a pet store Thursday morning, officers said in a Facebook post.

The man reportedly entered a Pet Kingdom store in Fort Myers around 11:45 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 before taking a black and grey Maltipoo puppy and hiding it in his blue hoodie, which he can be seen wearing in the picture.

The man then left the store and disappeared, according to officers. Anyone who witnessed the incident or knows anything about the suspect can call the Fort Myers Police Department at 239-321-7700, submit a tip through the AtlasOne app, or contact SWFL Crime Stoppers.
