Kemani Wright, of St. Petersburg, allegedly fired shots into someone's home in Oldsmar.

OLDSMAR, Fla. — A 20-year-old St. Petersburg man was arrested after he fired shots into someone's home and stole their car, according to a news release by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

Kemani Wright fired a gun outside and inside a house shortly after 1 a.m. on Monday in Oldsmar before stealing the homeowner's 2004 Lexus.

Deputies said Wright texted the homeowner and told her that her child was going to "end up dead." After, he was dropped off down the street from the house by a suspected rideshare service.

He is accused of shooting at two men who were in the front yard. As the men ran inside, Wright followed them, kicked in a bedroom door and fired several rounds into the bathroom, deputies said.

No one was shot or injured.

The United States Marshal Service Task Force found Wright on Friday where he was taken to the Marion County Jail. He is being held on $325,000 bond.

Wright is facing two counts of attempted first-degree murder, armed burglary, grand theft auto and shooting into an occupied residence.
