SARASOTA, Fla. — One person is in the hospital after being shot in Sarasota County, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies said the shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. in the 6500 block of Colonial Drive.
The person shot was taken to the Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Their condition is currently unknown.
