TAMPA, Fla. — An Ohio man was sentenced to four years in prison after officials say he sold guns to minors who used them in violent crimes in Tampa.

The Department of Justice says 23-year-old Gabriel Gladman made false statements to a federally licensed firearms dealer with intent to purchase firearms and made unlawful sales of weapons to juveniles.

Court documents say between November 2022 and June 2023, Gladman gave false information to federally licensed firearm dealers in Tampa to buy eight semi-automatic weapons.

On six separate occasions, he sold weapons to people under the age of 18, the DOJ said.

Investigators learned those weapons would later be used in violent crimes around Tampa.

Gladman was arrested in Ohio, where detectives reportedly found him in possession of two firearms.

He was also ordered to forfeit several weapons, including:

  • Smith & Wesson (SD40) semi-automatic firearm
  • Taurus G2 semi-automatic firearm
  • Glock 26 semi-automatic firearm
  • FMK 9C1 semi-automatic firearm
  • Two Taurus G3 semi-automatic firearms
  • Two Tara TM-9X semi-automatic firearms

Officials say the weapons are traceable proceeds of the offense.
