INDIAN TRAIL, N.C. – Deputies in Union County arrested a man in clown makeup that they say was trespassing on a store’s property while carrying a hatchet.
Police were called to the Wilco gas station in the 2700 block of Chambers Drive just before 6 p.m. Sunday. Witnesses told deputies that a man with clown makeup, a ski cap and dark clothing was walking around the store.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they were told the man left the area. Deputies located 20-year-old Travis Quenton Pressley of Indian Trail and said he matched the description given to them by witnesses.
Police say that Pressley was carrying a backpack that had marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a hatchet inside. He was charged with second-degree trespassing, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana up to one-half of an ounce, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
