TAMPA, Fla. — Hillsborough County deputies say they're investigating a murder-suicide that left two men dead Wednesday night in new Tampa.

Deputies first responded around 6:30 p.m. to a 911 call about a shooting on Royal Forest Drive near Kings Park Drive.

They arrived to find 67-year-old Steven Glantz with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Detectives reviewed surveillance video in the area which showed a man walking up to Glantz's home before multiple gunshots were heard. The man was then seen leaving the area on foot.

Deputies searched the neighborhood and found 66-year-old Timothy Lobianco with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the sheriff's office, Glantz and Lobianco were neighbors but it's not clear what led to the shooting.

“Our hearts go out to the victim’s family during this unimaginable loss,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said. “This tragic event serves as a painful reminder of the devastating effects of senseless violence on our community. HCSO is committed to supporting the grieving families as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.”
