TAMPA, Fla. — The two men tied to the shooting death of a 24-year-old back in June in Tampa have been arrested.
Forrest Jackson and Terrance Robinson, both 34, were arrested months apart from each other after the shooting, which happened in broad daylight at 2:50 p.m. on June 17, 2024, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
The shooting occurred near the intersection of Regents Park Drive and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and left 24-year-old Kyle Prisco dead.
During their investigation, detectives were able to identify Jackson as the alleged shooter and Robinson as the alleged accomplice in the murder.
Robinson was reportedly arrested on July 3, 2024 in Ohio while Jackson was located in Jamaica before he was deported back to the U.S. and taken into custody this past Friday, Oct. 25.
In the release, Sheriff Chad Chronister thanked detectives for their "relentless efforts."
"This outcome was made possible through the dedication of our team and the strong partnership with the United States Marshals Service, Border Patrol, and Miami-Dade Police Department," Chronister stated. "Together, we stand committed to protecting our communities and supporting those in need."
Deputies say the investigation is ongoing.
