Man on FBI's most wanted list may be in Tampa Bay area

A man accused of child sex trafficking who has been on the run since 2022 may be in the Tampa area, according to the FBI.

TAMPA, Fla. — A man on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted Fugitive list may be hiding in the Tampa area.

The FBI is renewing efforts to locate 60-year-old Donald Eugene Fields II who is accused of child sex trafficking, according to a news release. Fields was federally indicted in December 2022 and prosecutors accused him of knowingly attempting to recruit, entice, provide, patronize and solicit a minor into engaging in a commercial sex act from about January 2013 until June 2017, authorities said.

Another man named Theodore "Ted" John Sartori Sr. was also indicted on the same charge and in a court hearing, an assistant U.S. Attorney said Sartori provided cash, cars, motorcycles, vacations and Christmas presents to Fields in exchange for access to the victims.

He is also facing charges including statutory rape, statutory sodomy, child molestation and witness tampering in a Missouri county court. A state warrant for his arrest was issued by the Missouri court when Fields left his home and didn't show up for court.

Fields is about 6 feet or taller, weighing 219 to 235 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has a scar on his chest, groin, left calf, on both legs and knees. He also has a tribal print tattoo on his right shoulder. The FBI said he may be relying on cash jobs such as tree trimming.

The FBI thinks he may be hiding in the Tampa area because he was known to travel here on vacation but also may be hiding in Central Missouri, which is a few hours by car from where he used to live.

There is a $250,000 reward for Fields. If you have any information about him, you are encouraged to contact the FBI online at tips.fbi.gov or call 1-800-CALL-FBI (225-5325).
