LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A North Fort Myers man died after he crashed his sedan into the back of a pickup truck on Friday night.
The 52-year-old was driving south on US-41 in Lee County around 9 p.m. and was approaching Del Prado Boulevard when he didn't slow down or stop for traffic and hit a pickup truck towing trailer, according to a news release by the Florida Highway Patrol.
The sedan driver had critical injuries and died at the hospital on Saturday. The driver of the pickup truck and the two passengers inside were not injured, according to the release.
Troopers said they are investigating the crash.
