A speedy trial in the case of a Largo mother accused of killing her 2-year-old son was waived Monday morning.
Charisse Stinson's pre-trial hearing is set for Feb. 4.
Stinson, 21, is charged with first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and providing false information to a law enforcement agency during an investigation.
She did not appear in court Monday morning.
Police say Stinson lied about 2-year-old Jordan Belliveau's disappearance, which sparked an Amber Alert in September.
Stinson told police the supposed "stranger hit her in the face," and she woke-up at Largo Central Park.
Belliveau’s body was later found in the woods.
Arrest documents show that Stinson admitted to hitting Belliveau in the face, causing him to hit his head against a wall. He later died from his injuries.
An indictment says Belliveau died by either "blunt trauma" or asphyxiation. The official autopsy has not been publicly released.
Stinson was pregnant at the time of her arrest, but 10News isn't sure how far along she was at the time.
