LAKELAND, Fla. — Just weeks after getting certified in detection, Lakeland Police dog Pantera jumped into action and made his first arrest.
Officers stopped Antonio Green on Tuesday afternoon for a traffic infraction where Pantera found cocaine inside his car. It was found in three separate locations inside the car along with amphetamine pills, cash and a handgun, according to a post by the police department.
The cocaine was prepackaged into multiple small Ziploc baggies commonly seen in drug sales and distribution, police said.
"Way to go Pantera!" the department wrote in the post.
Green was charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to sell, possession of amphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and keeping of a public nuisance where controlled substances are illegally kept, sold or used, the post read.
