LONDON, Ky. — A shooting has occurred on Interstate 75 in a rural area south of Lexington, Kentucky, Gov. Andy Beshear said in a post on the social platform X.
In a Facebook post, the Laurel County Sheriff's Office said multiple people have been shot and that the interstate is closed at Exit 49 and U.S. 25, nine miles north of London.
Kentucky State Police Trooper Scottie Pennington said on Facebook that the suspect has not been caught and is urging residents in the area to stay inside.
