TAMPA, Fla. — A teacher at Leto High School was arrested Tuesday after deputies say he had a sexual relationship with a student when she was 17 years old.
Deputies say they were conducting an investigation into the allegations against Eric Milis, who was 28 years old at the time. A former student, now 19 years old, told school officials that she and Milis had a sexual relationship when she was a 17-year-old junior, deputies say.
Detectives say they overheard a conversation with Milis, in which he admitted to the victim that he had had a sexual relationship with her when she was a minor.
Milis was charged with unlawful sexual activity with certain minors.
Deputies say they don't believe there are any other victims.
