GLADES COUNTY, Fla. — A 19-year-old man from Wauchula was killed early Saturday morning after he was hit by an unknown driver while walking along U.S.  Highway 27 in Glades County, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.

The incident reportedly happened around 4:22 a.m. Troopers said the man was walking on the inside northbound lane of the highway north of Boar Hammock Ranch Road before he was hit.
