TAMPA, Fla. — A man was arrested Wednesday after airport police say he possessed six fake driver's licenses and drugs at Tampa International Airport.
Police said Arnaz Barrington Jr. was trying to rent a car from Avis Car Rental using a fake Florida driver's license with the name Jason Andrew Remy. When Tampa International Police arrived, Barrington drove away in a black Cadillac SUV.
When police finally caught Barrington, they say they found he had four fake Florida driver's licenses, one fake North Carolina license and one New York license. All of the cards had different names, dates of birth and addresses but the same photo of Barrington, according to law enforcement.
Police said they also found Barrington had a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue and a plastic bag with 16.5 grams of marijuana inside. In a post-Miranda interview, police said Barrington admitted to having the licenses and five fraudulent credit cards.
Barrington was charged with six counts of unauthorized use or possession of a driver's license, possession of cannabis less than 20 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and trafficking in or possession of counterfeit credit cards.
