Florida sheriff's office looking for dozens of suspects involved in fiery 'intersection takeover'

The Orange County Sheriff's Office is searching for 30 suspects after a fiery intersection takeover on November 30, 2024, in Florida.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A sheriff's office in Florida is looking for 30 suspects accused of terrorizing drivers and damaging cars in a fiery takeover of an intersection.

The incident happened Saturday night, Nov. 30 at the intersection of South John Young Parkway and Central Florida Parkway, according to a Facebook post from the Orange County Sheriff's Office. 

The agency said the suspects set fire to the roadway before using the space for cars to "do donuts around the flames."

"The situation escalated as participants harassed innocent drivers, blocked them from passing, and in some cases, climbed on and damaged vehicles," deputies said.

The sheriff's office added that the suspects' behavior "poses a serious danger" to the community and that deputies are committed to holding them responsible.
