FHP: 2 men pulled over, arrested for driving 130 mph over Gandy Bridge

​They were both charged with racing on a highway, according to arrest affidavits.

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — Two men were arrested by Florida Highway Patrol troopers Friday night for speeding over the Gandy Bridge, arrest affidavits explain.

At around 10:56 p.m., a trooper was traveling west on the bridge in Pinellas County when he saw two Ford Mustangs driving 45 mph side by side. But suddenly, both cars accelerated to approximately 130 mph trying to outrun each other, FHP explains.

This is when the trooper caught up to the cars and pulled both of them over.

The whole incident was caught on dashcam video from the FHP cruiser showing the traffic stop along with the two drivers, 18-year-old Lexton Ravaee and 21-year-old Nathan Polito, getting arrested

They were both charged with racing on a highway, according to the affidavit.
