PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — A Gulfport woman was arrested after she allegedly drunkenly crashed into a speed radar sign and kept driving with her 4-year-old child in the car on Sunday night.
Troopers working in a construction zone noticed a car driving just after 9:30 p.m. on Interstate 275 in Pinellas County with its front rim dragging on the road, according to court records.
Kellie Grueninger, 45, was stopped and officers found out she crashed into a speed radar trailer placed inside of a work zone and drove away, according to her arrest report.
Troopers said she showed multiple signs of impairment including slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and a strong smell of alcohol. Gureninger refused multiple sobriety tests and was arrested.
She was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on charges of child neglect, driving under the influence, DUI involving property damage and leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage.
