I can't believe it's not battery!

Oh wait. It is. According to police, anyway.

A 26-year-old Merritt Island woman was arrested Thursday after deputies say she threw a tub of butter at her sister during an argument.

Aliza Boeddeker-LaChance is charged with one count of misdemeanor domestic battery. She is on pre-trial release from the Brevard County Jail.

Brevard County deputies responded around 7:53 p.m. Thursday to a residence in the 3700 block of Sunward Drive in Merritt Island following reports of a disturbance.

When deputies pulled up to the home, a woman came running from the front door, screaming and covered in butter, according to reports.

In a sworn statement, the woman told deputies that her sister, Boeddeker-LaChance, had asked her if she was going to pay for the butter. When she refused, Boeddeker-LaChance "threw the tub at her, hitting her with the actual tub, and the butter within," deputies said in a report.

Three witnesses in the home gave similar statements.

Boeddeker-LaChance refused to speak to deputies without a lawyer present. She was arrested and taken to the Brevard County Jail Compex in Sharpes.
