Deputies: Man allegedly stole items from boat in Belleair Bluffs in August

The sheriff's office said detectives have linked four separate boat burglaries along the intercoastal waterway between Belleair Beach and Madeira Beach.

BELLEAIR BLUFFS, Fla. — Pinellas County Sheriff's Office detectives are searching for a man who allegedly stole items from a boat in Belleair Bluffs last month.

The burglary was reported on Aug. 13, detectives said in a Facebook post. The man reportedly stole a Garmin GPS and stereo equipment from the boat.

Surveillance video of the burglary shows three people fishing in a boat before the burglary happens, according to the sheriff's office. Soon after, a man can be seen in all-black clothing walking along the dock around the same time the items were reportedly stolen.

The sheriff's office said detectives have linked four separate boat burglaries along the intercoastal waterway between Belleair Beach and Madeira Beach. Those four burglaries were reportedly similar to the one on Aug. 13.
