SPOKANE, Wash. --- After a day of speculation, two people have been arrested in connection with the beating of “Deadliest Catch” star Jake Harris.
Spokane police arrested Jorel Fultz and Amanda Ritter Crandell on Tuesday.
Harris was apparently hurt in a fight in Everett, Wash. over the weekend. Everett Police said Harris was left on the side of Highway 526 after being robbed.
Harris told EPD he had been at the Quil Ceda Creek Casino in Marysville, where he met up with a man, the man's girlfriend, and another woman he had befriended the day before. According to EPD, the couple agreed to give Harris a ride home. Apparently after the couple made a stop, the man sat behind him and started to assault him as they drove, according to a release from officials.
Harris told police he blacked out and woke up on the side of the highway with his wallet and $2,400 in cash missing.
His family took to social media to talk about how the reality star was apparently beaten by two people from Spokane.
Everett Fire responded to the scene and told Harris to go to the hospital, but he declined. An officer drove him home to Lake Stevens, where his girlfriend took him to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett-Colby Campus. He was admitted to the ICU for some time, according to the Everett Police Department.
Sources told KREM 2 Harris is now out of the hospital and was able to give police a “good description” of the suspects.
Both suspects were the ones identified by Harris’ brother in a now-viral video.
The Spokane Police Department Targeted Crimes Unit located both Fultz and Crandall in Spokane and interviewed them before booking them into Spokane County Jail. They will be taken to Snohomish County Wednesday to face charges of first degree robbery and first degree assault.
Police said the case is still under investigation.
