PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — Multiple people were arrested over the weekend at the South Florida Fair after authorities say a fight broke out involving a crowd of about 200 juveniles.
From 9 p.m. until midnight, several fights occurred at the South Florida Fairgrounds in "all directions of the midway," the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office told WPTV.
Three young people and an adult man were arrested and charged with trespassing and resisting without violence, according to WPEC-TV. Another young person was accused of resisting with violence and battery on a law enforcement officer.
WPTV reports that two boys who were in the fight went to the Wellington Regional Hospital and said they were stabbed but did not want to give more information to authorities.
The hundreds of people involved in the fights were reportedly described as "hostile and unruly" and deputies called for backup to help control the situation.
The sheriff's office confirmed to WPEC-TV that deputies fired pepper ball rounds to separate the crowds.
According to the fair's rules, guests under 18 are required to have a parent or guardian with them after 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
