Company issues voluntary recall of baby formula in CVS stores

One batch is under the recall due to high levels of Vitamin D, officials said.

TAMPA, Fla. — One batch of baby formula is under a voluntary recall due to high levels of Vitamin D.

Perrigo Company plc issued the recall for 16,500 cans found across the country, including in CVS stores in Florida. The product was only shipped to CVS in Florida, so no other retailers in the state are impacted by this, according to a news release

There have been no reports of adverse effects from higher levels of Vitamin D from this product, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. But, it could cause health complications for a small number of vulnerable infants.

Parents and caregivers who may have purchased the product should look for the lot codes below the "use by" dates to see if they have a recalled product. The one being recalled will have this stamped onto the bottom of it:

T11LMYC – USE BY 11NOV2025
(Material: 975261, UPC: 050428318034)

If infants experience any symptoms while taking this formula, they can be reported to the FDA's MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program online at www.fda.gov/medwatch/report.htm. Additionally, parents or caregivers are asked to contact their health provider.

Other states where the formula was sold include Texas, California, South Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Tennessee, New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Missouri. The formula was sold at HEB Grocery Company in Texas.
