TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. — Check your fridge or freezer — some ground beef at a Publix in Temple Terrace has been recalled due to possible plastic contamination in the meat, the company announced.
According to Publix, several batches of its store brand and GreenWise brand ground beef products sold at its 5450 E. Busch Blvd. location might have "the potential of plastic material" inside.
Publix says the voluntary recall only affects this location and certain ground beef products sold on Nov. 26. The supermarket says any products sold on or after Nov. 27 are not impacted by this recall.
