Publix offering 10% off groceries for military families this Veterans Day

The discount can only be used on in-store purchases.

TAMPA, Fla. — In appreciation of those who have served in the United States military, Publix is offering a Veterans Day discount.

Veterans, active military personnel and their families can save 10 percent on their groceries on Thursday, Nov. 11.

"It is our privilege to honor you for serving our country," the supermarket chain wrote in a news release. "We hope to see you at your neighborhood Publix on Veterans Day."

To be eligible for the discount, Publix asks shoppers to present a veteran ID card, military ID card, discharge document or a driver’s license with the veteran designation. 

The special offer is not valid on prescriptions, alcohol, tobacco products, gift cards, postage stamps, money services or lottery tickets.

The deal must be used on in-store purchases.
