A Kingsville man recently purchased three Dallas Cowboys tickets, but not so he could go to the game. Instead, he wanted to raffle them off to raise money for Valerie Hernandez, a young girl battling cancer in a San Antonio hospital.
Using Facebook Live, Paul Espinoza raffled off the tickets for $20, and the community showed their support. In fact, Espinoza said one winner, Alexis Acuna, even donated the tickets back to Espinoza to be raffled off again because he was only in it for the cause and was not actually a Cowboys fan.
The final winner of the raffle was Penny Acevedo.
In total, Espinoza said he was able to raise $4,100 for Hernandez. The money was given to her sister on Tuesday.
