ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — With Veteran's Day taking place this Monday, Nov. 11, various events are being held this weekend to honor those who serve our country.
10 Tampa Bay is here to provide locals with a list of some events happening in the area to honor those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
What: Think you have what it takes to train like our military? Those looking to get a military-style workout will get a first-hand experience at this four-hour competition. Organizers say the event is "energetic and fun" and includes an obstacle course.
When: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9

What: Bayboro Brewing is partnering with Signatures for Soldiers to support local veterans with a block party featuring housemade barbeque and refreshments, live music and local vendors.
Special perks for veterans at the block party include an exclusive lunch and complimentary drinks all day through the "Veterans Tab." Proceeds from the event will go towards an annual Thanksgiving Day Celebration, which provides meals for local veterans.

What: Residents in Dunedin will be honoring those who currently serve in the Armed Forces with a 5K run that moves north along Pinellas Trail from the Hale Senior Activity Center to San Salvador Drive. The run is also meant to bring awareness to the Dunedin VFW and American Legion while helping benefit teen volunteer groups.
Attendance at this event is $40 a person. Medals and t-shirts will be available for those participating.

What: Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will be hosting special events to honor the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Those events include a special recording of the national anthem which will accompany the raising of the American flag, as well as flags representing each branch of the military.
