Here's a list of stores open and closed on Thanksgiving Day

With some stores remaining open, most of them will close their doors on Thanksgiving – so make sure to not forget an important ingredient.

TAMPA, Fla. — Thanksgiving is just around the corner which means families are figuring out who's going to host dinner and what they're going to make.

A lot of stores across the U.S. will be closing their doors for the federal holiday, which means you'll have to be ready just before Thanksgiving or wait until Black Friday.

And with some stores remaining open, most of them will close their doors on Thanksgiving – so make sure to not forget an important ingredient.

Here's a list from both People Magazine and CBS News of stores that will be closed to shoppers on Thursday, Nov. 23:

  • ALDI
  • Best Buy
  • BJ's
  • Costco
  • Home Depot
  • HomeGoods
  • Ikea
  • JCPenny
  • Kohl's
  • Lowe’s
  • Macy’s
  • Marshalls
  • Michaels
  • Nordst
  • Petco/Petsmart
  • Publix
  • Sam’s Club
  • Target
  • Trader Joe’s
  • T.J. Maxx
  • Ulta Beauty
  • Walmart

While these stores will have their doors closed on the holidays, shoppers can expect them to open up the next day just in time for in-person Black Friday deals.

   

With a good amount of stores being closed on Thanksgiving, there is a limited number of places open, including:

  • 7-Eleven
  • CVS
  • Dollar General
    • Most store locations across the U.S. will be open on Thanksgiving Day. Shoppers can visit DG.com to check out their local store's hours.
  • Dollar Tree/Family Dollar
  • Starbucks
    • Most locations are open on Thanksgiving and Black Friday, with some shops closing earlier for the federal holiday. 
  • Walgreens
  • Whole Foods
