'I'm going to the tour': Kentucky kid earns Taylor Swift tickets after viral TikTok video

Henry Hinson's Eras Tour inspired Halloween costume caught the attention of Swift's team and earned him two free tickets to one of the Indianapolis shows.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An 11-year-old Louisville kid will soon be living his wildest dream at Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour.

Henry Hinson was given two tickets to Swift's upcoming Indianapolis concert by her management team Taylor Nation. It's in response to a viral TikTok he made with his mom showing off his Eras Tour-inspired Halloween costume.

The video almost has 4,000,000 views on the platform and many more on other media websites.

His mom Erin Hinson also posted a reaction video of her son learning about the tickets. Before she could even tell him he's going to the concert, Henry Hinson screamed in excitement and then got emotional. It was an enchanting moment he'll never forget.

"Right at that moment it just all sank in," Henry Hinson said. "And I was like... oh wow I'm going to the tour."

Swift's tour is in the final leg of it's lengthy duration which has sold out across the globe.

It was Henry Hinson's costume, a replica of one of Swift's background dancers dressed in a lavender haze and waving upright cape, that caught viewers attention.

"My mom bought the materials and my dad built the stage out of cardboard and got a cut out of her," Henry Hinson said.

The middle school student navigates the world through his wheel chair. He was born with Spina Bifida which mean he cannot use his legs, but being in a mobile chair doesn't stop him from smiling or being an active kid.

"He does always keep us on our toes," Nathan Hinson, Henry's dad, said. "He's always got something going on or something that he wants to do."

Henry Hinson has been active through Kosair for Kids. Last year the nonprofit took him, two other kids, and their families participating in the Miracle League of Baseball to Houston for the 23rd annual Shriners Children's Classic Baseball Tournament.

Henry Hinson, a Kosair kid, is filled with excitement after learning he will see Taylor Swift in concert after his TikTok video went viral.

"They have been a life changer," Henry Hinson said. "All of these medical payments, they've kicked in to help with that and that's just really amazing."

These tickets are another emotional blessing for the Hinson family who have a message for Swift's team.

"Just thank you," Nathan Hinson said. "And thank you for helping to spot light people with disabilities. Through this video I think the biggest thing to come out of it has been that so many people have responded and said, 'Hey, that's really cool that you got this kid in a wheelchair who has this costume and is trick or treating in it. I never thought about what trick or treating looks at my house. I'm going to change it now to make it more accessible for people like Henry.' Just about everyone in our neighborhood will allow trick or treating in their garage so he's able to go around and get candy."
