TAMPA, Fla. — If you're hungry in the morning and in a time crunch, you may rely on McDonald's breakfast to get you through the day — or at least the morning.
McDonald's breakfast is served until 10:30 a.m. or 11 a.m. local time, depending on the location. At many restaurants across Florida, it's typically 10:30 a.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. on weekends.
As the cost of some lunch entrees rises, the fast-food chain has a few breakfast foods on the $1 $2 $3 Dollar Menu that customers may want to check out if they can make it to their nearest location before those times.
Their breakfast menu includes many different sandwiches with sausage, eggs and bacon. There are also pancakes, hash browns, a burrito and oatmeal. The individual items range in price from about $3 to $8 and the meals that include a coffee and hashbrowns range from about $10 to $12.
The Sausage McMuffin, sausage biscuit, sausage burrito and hash browns are all on the value menu.
The global fast-food chain reported a surprise drop in sales on Monday, marking its first decline in three years as customers shy away from higher-priced items. Reuters reported that McDonald's, as well as other fast-food chains, have been leaning on their value menus to spark customer traffic due to persistent inflation driving customers away.
McDonald's recently extended the timeline for its $5 value meal offer to August at most locations. It was initially to be only four weeks but has been a success in reaching inflation-hit customers.
Other fast food chains such as Burger King and Wendy's created their own version in efforts to bring in more customers. Wendy's also took a stab at lowering breakfast menu prices and had a $3 meal deal in May.
