TAMPA, Fla. — A month after Tijuana Flats filed for bankruptcy, the Florida Tex-Mex chain has revealed which locations are closing.
Along with the Chapter 11 bankruptcy announcement, the company shared in April that it was also under new ownership — it's now owned by Flatheads, LLC instead of TJF USA, LLC.
And in order to save the brand, the new owners took "immediate financial action" by making the decision to close several different locations across the state, the CEO Joe Christina said in a statement.
"The decision to close restaurants, though difficult, was a result of a unit-by-unit analysis of financial performance, occupancy costs, and market conditions," Tijuana Flats said in a previous release.
FinanceBuzz first reported on the dozens of Tijuana Flats locations that have already closed or are set to close this year in Florida. The following locations are listed as "permanently closed."
