FLORIDA, USA — With Red Lobster abruptly closing dozens of locations and filing for bankruptcy in May, more restaurants from the chain could face a similar fate.
Recent bankruptcy court documents revealed a list of more than 130 additional locations that could be closing if Red Lobster isn't able to renegotiate their leases. 26 of them are right here in Florida.

Red Lobster reportedly has yet to announce or confirm any additional store closings. Despite filing for bankruptcy, the chain issued a statement to customers assuring them that it wasn't going out of business.
"For more than five decades Red Lobster has been a part of your family's life. We've been there for your celebrations, big and small," the company said in a statement on X. "And Red Lobster is determined to be there for these moments for generations to come. And that's why we filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection."
