JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – People looking for a variation of the popular Big Mac sandwich will have new options starting November 14 at local McDonald’s restaurants.
McDonald’s says the Grand Mac and the Mac Jr. will be available for a limited time at locations in Florida and Southeast Georgia in 2017.
The fast food chain says they will put one-third pound of beef (the original has one-fifth of a pound of meat) in the new three-decker Grand Mac sandwich. And the chain will use a single patty and skip the middle bun in the Mac Jr.
No word when McDonald’s will end the limited time offer.
The Big Mac was introduced by Pennsylvania franchisee Jim Delligatti in 1967 and went national in 1968, according to Advertising Age. The famous jingle made its debut in 1974.
