CELEBRATION, Fla. — A cult-favorite California burger joint is on its way to Central Florida.
Fatburger is set to open a new location this week at 1713 Future Way in Celebration. Doors will open at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
The fast-casual burger joint dates back to the 1940s in Los Angeles. Known for tasty, authentic burgers, fries, shakes and onion rings, Fatburger has resonated with food lovers across the U.S.
The Tampa Bay area has already gotten a taste of the fresh-never-frozen patties and hand-scooped, real ice cream milkshakes. Fatburger opened a location in Riverview back in June.
“We are heavily invested in growing the Fatburger brand in Florida,” Jake Berchtold, COO of FAT Brands’ Fast Casual Division, said at the time.
Fatburger first came to the Tampa Bay area more than 20 years ago. Back in 2003, there were locations at the International Plaza and Clearwater Mall, the Tampa Bay Times reports. Those locations have since closed.
"The hype surrounding this opening only continues to grow and the all-American burger chain wants to roll out the works for its fans," an email from the company read, in part.
