Chocolate Pi, a vintage confectionary in South Tampa, is known for its homemade chocolates, macaroons, and cakes, but it’s been getting a lot of attention recently thanks for a new latte called Brushed Suede.
“Everyday people are coming in for it, it's blowing up on social media, so it has a lot of fans right now,” said Jade Yelvington, the creator of the drink who was inspired by Netflix series "Black Mirror."
Yelvington's version of the drink is a black latte, dusted with edible glitter, causing it to glisten in the light.
“A lot of people stare at it for about 15 minutes before they drink it, so that's been fun to see,” said Yelvington.
The dark color comes from activated charcoal which Yelvington say’s can be used as a detox, be good for your skin and can be used as a teeth whitener.
Do to increased support, Chocolate Pi has expanded its hours:
Monday-Thursday : 12pm-9pm
Friday & Saturday : 12pm-10pm
Sunday : 10am-4pm
