ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — It's a day worth celebrating: National Beer Day has arrived.
The holiday of sorts marks the day the Cullen-Harrison Act was enacted in 1933, which allowed for low-alcohol beer during prohibition.
Lyft and the Florida Brewers Guild hope to make any celebrations a bit safer, with discounted rides to 11 Tampa Bay area breweries.
Those include:
- 7venth Sun Brewery
- 81Bay Brewing Company
- Brew Bus Brewing
- Cage Brewing
- Cigar City Brewing
- Dissent Craft Brewing Company
- Green Bench Brewing Co.
- Hidden Springs Ale Works
- Mastry's Brewing Co
- Six Ten Brewing
- Tampa Beer Works
Riders can use the code BEERDAY19 for 50 percent off two rides (up to $5 each) to and from the above breweries. In addition, riders can get 25 percent off two rides (up to $5 each) from April 8 to July 6.
