CLEARWATER, Fla. — Some of the best athletes in the nation are getting ready to stomp their paws to the Tampa Bay area.
The 27th annual Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge is bringing the competition on April 12 and 13 at Coachman Park in Clearwater.
Premier canine athletes from 14 different states and provinces are gathering to compete in different events during the Eastern Regionals, with a trip to the National Finals in St. Louis at the end of the competition.
People and pets can come together to cheer on various different dog breeds competing in challenges such as high-flying disc routines, head-to-head weave pole racing, agility courses and the crowd favorite — dog diving — a running leap off a 50-foot dock into a more than 20,000-gallon pool of water.
